This soup is a hearty chicken noodle and vegetable soup with our savory CBD added for better digestion, better immune health, and to get you back to feeling well during the cold and flu months, or anytime you are craving soup.
2 TBL Olive Oil
1 Chicken, 2-3 lbs, boiled, boned & skinned (save the bones)
2 ½ tsp salt
1 TBL fresh ground pepper
1 large white or yellow onion, chopped
4 celery stalks, chopped
3 large carrots, chopped
1 bunch of green onions, chopped
5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 TBL fresh basil, chopped
3 Bay leaves
1 TBL seasoning salt (Soul Food or Cajun or Creole style. Something with a bit of spice and earthiness.)
2 cups fresh vegetables (squash, turnips, green beans, spinach, cabbage, etc., can use good frozen veggies)
½ tsp red pepper flakes
3 quarts chicken stock
2 cups pasta (broad egg noodle, preferred)
6 ml Heights Apothecary & Hemp Co. Full Spectrum CBD+ Tincture
Heat the oil in large heavy pot like Dutch oven on high heat. When hot, add the chicken and bones, salt & pepper and sauté, stirring until the meat and bones are brown. Add onions, celery, carrots, green onions, garlic, parsley, basil, bay leaves and seasonings. Stir around a few times. Add all other vegetables and stir for about a minute or two.
Add the stock to the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add pasta and bring to a boil, again. Add the Tincture and simmer for 5-7 minutes. Remove the bones from the soup. Serve when ready.
NOTE: You can add ½ to 1 ml of Tincture for every serving, separately, if you choose.
